Update from Mrs Barnett - 20th May 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
I hope that you are all well in these continuing unprecedented times.
Thank you so very much to those parents who completed the parental survey, regarding returning to school, I really appreciate it.
The team and I have produced a detailed risk assessment for the proposed opening on June 1st and I will be sharing fundamental aspects of this with the parents of the children who are planning to return from that date.
I would like to take this opportunity to assure that we will very much still be providing home learning in the same way that we have been doing and we will continue to make regular contact with you to check that you have everything that you need. We have staff members who have been assigned to home learning to ensure that all team members have a manageable workload.
As half term is fast approaching, I wanted to let you know that the school building will be physically closed and home learning will not be set for half term and the team will not be accessing their emails. This is to provide respite for the school team, who continued to work during the Easter holidays and I am sure you will agree, need time to recharge their batteries prior to the proposed opening on June 1st. I will, however, continue to carry out my safeguarding role during half term.
All that is left for me to say is a massive thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness, shown to me personally as well as our magnificent team! These are unique times for us and we continue to strive to ensure that our children and their families are safe and thriving!
Stay safe
