Catching up with Mr. Marklew! It was fantastic to hear from Mr. Marklew today about the brilliant project our Year 4s have been diving into! As parents, we know how busy Beaminster can get, so it was incredibly inspiring to listen to the interview and hear how the children are taking action. They've been writing persuasive letters to the Local Authority, making a strong case for a new 20mph zone through town. There's nothing better than seeing our kids use their literacy skills to speak up for a safer, quieter community. We are absolutely thrilled to share the news from the latest Bridport News report: Beaminster St Mary's Academy is the top-performing school in the Bridport and Lyme Regis area! With 75% of our pupils meeting the expected standard, we are so incredibly proud of our children's hard work and dedication. As our Headteacher, Mr. Marklew, said: "We are incredibly proud of our pupils for achieving such strong KS2 results this year, alongside a 100 per cent pass rate in phonics in Year 1."
