Welcome to
We are a school with a proud history of serving the Beaminster community for over 40 years.
In the spring of 2014, St Mary’s transitioned into an academy, allowing us to continue working closely with the Beaminster Pyramid of schools while also benefiting from our place within the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust. This connection enables us to collaborate with a diverse network of schools, sharing expertise, enriching learning experiences, and participating in exciting events in sports, music, and beyond.

Let's Build a Love for Reading Together! As we kick off the new school year, we're asking for your help as parents to build a strong reading culture at home! Reading with your child isn't just a school activityit's a vital life skill. When children read regularly and out loud at home, they make huge progress with their vocabulary and comprehension. This year, we're introducing some new things to help our young readers grow: a Reading Rewards Scheme, short quizzes for KS2 pupils, and a request to please help us look after school reading books. Your role in this is so important! Even just 10-15 minutes a day of listening to your child read and talking about their book can make a massive difference. For all the details on our new reading initiatives, please check the letter that was sent home today! Let's make this a fantastic year for reading! #reading #readingtogether #FunToRead Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust
Calling all amazing Parents and Carers of Beaminster St Mary's Academy Do you enjoy delicious bacon or sausage sandwiches? How about some tasty cake? And are you free on Saturday 27th September between 9 am and 1 pm? If you answered "yes" to at least that last question, we'd absolutely love your help! As you know, we're dedicated to providing the very best for our children. But with no caretaker, keeping the outside of our school looking as wonderful as the inside can be a challenge. That's why we're inviting as many of you as possible to join us for a Big School Clean-Up! We'll be tackling tasks like: Tiding up the EYFS outdoor area Painting the gazebo Removing those huge piles of leaves Preparing classroom planters Soiling and seeding the old long jump area Weeding and edging Fred's bungalow borders And general outdoor tidying! The more hands we have, the more we can achieve – even just an hour of your time would make a huge difference! And yes, there will be bacon sandwiches and cake to fuel our efforts and say a big THANK YOU! Please bring any useful tools you might have (leaf collectors would be especially fantastic!). Children are welcome to join in too, but must be supervised by their adults. Will be there on the day, and we truly hope to see a fantastic turnout from our wonderful St Mary's community. Let's make our school grounds shine together! Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust
