At Beaminster St Mary's Academy we are fortunate to have excellent hot meals prepared by Local Food Links, who are a local company in based in Bridport. Local Food Links are proud to source high-quality, high-welfare ingredients from local farms and producers. The meals are better value and more filling than lunchboxes, and more convenient for busy parents too.   A healthy tasty lunch means better concentration in the afternoon and best of all, children love them.

All parents are given a unique log in code to review the menu choices with their children and can then order meals online.  Meals cost £2.50 per day for Key Stage 2 children. Please remember in year 3 your child may not be entitled to a free school meal.

Every day there are three menu choices, a regular, vegetarian or jacket potato option.

All meals should be ordered one week in advance.

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, they are entitled to a free meal every day, paid for by the government.   

Packed Lunches

Alternatively, parents may provide their children with a packed lunch if they wish.  As part of our Healthy Schools intitiative we do request that this is a healthy lunch, with choices such as a savoury pasta or rice dish, salad or sandwich, plus some fruit, and perhaps a yoghurt. (No Sweets or Chocolate bars)

Water

All children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day, with water being provided during lunchtime.  Please ensure that your child has their own water bottle and it is sent into school everyday with them.  Please make sure that their bottle is clearly named.
