Welcome to Beaminster St Mary’s Academy—a school with a proud history of serving the Beaminster community for over 40 years. 

In the spring of 2014, St Mary’s transitioned into an academy, allowing us to continue working closely with the Beaminster Pyramid of schools while also benefiting from our place within the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust. This connection enables us to collaborate with a diverse network of schools, sharing expertise, enriching learning experiences, and participating in exciting events in sports, music, and beyond.

At St Mary’s, we are fortunate to have an incredibly dedicated and hardworking team of staff. Their commitment goes beyond academic achievement—they strive to create an environment where children feel safe, happy, and inspired by their learning. Our vision, ‘We love each other, learn together, and inspire all to succeed,’ reflects our belief that children are at the heart of everything we do.

As a Church school, we are committed to fostering both academic success and strong values, with Christian principles chosen by the children themselves underpinning our approach. At the core of our school’s ethos are the values of respect, responsibility, kindness, truth, and friendship, guiding our actions and interactions every day. Our biblical foundation is the Parable of the Lost Sheep, which reminds us of the importance of care, inclusion, and the belief that every individual is valued and cherished.
