With the guidance now changing from `key workers` to `critical workers` and with schools being asked to support all children to stay at home, to keep everyone safe , Beaminster St Mary's Academy is now in a position to close, which is fully supported by our Trust (DSAT). As a school we wanted to stay open as long as possible to support our families, however, the need to keep the children, their families and the staff safe, is of paramount importance and a key priority for us.

Parents Association (PTFA)

St Mary’s Parent, Teacher and friends Association (PTFA) makes an important contribution to the life of your childs school. We aim to enhance our children’s education, by fully supporting the opportunities, facilities and resources in the school.  In order to do this, the PTFA organises many fund-raising events throughout the year, supporting the funding of classroom resources, trips and visits and extra-curricular activities. We are also a very useful link between parents and staff.

The association is open to all parents and friends of the school, in partnership with the teaching and non-teaching staff.  We are always looking for new people to join the association, either as a committee member or by providing support at events. So if you think you would like to join the fun and support your childs learning, do come and talk to us.

Details of the association and its current activities are displayed in the entrance foyer, the school calendar and the PTFA Facebook page.

If you would like to join the committee, are able to help out at fundraising events or just have some great ideas please speak to one of the following people;
