Sports at St Mary's

Our Sports Council

At Beaminster St Mary's Academy we have our own School Sports Council. The Sports council is made up of two children from each class. The children hold termly meeting with Miss Woodrow, our Sports Coordinator on how we can take St Mary's forward in PE and Sports as well as discuss recent events, ideas on new actives and what improvements can be made!

All children at St Mary's take part actively in numerous sporting clubs and events. As a school we believe that an active and healthy lifestyle is essential to a child's learning journey.

Children are encouraged to always try their best at everything and work hard at following their own sporting aspirations.

We take pride in any sporting achievements our children receive and always encourage the children to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. All achievements are celebrated at our Celebration Worship, not just in school but outside of school as well.
